Judy has extensive career transition counseling
experience. For the last 10 years, she has done all aspects
of outplacement counseling, including preparing the managers
who are doing the terminations, being present at the terminations,
1, 2, and 3 day workshops, ½ day classes on specific
topics, meeting with spouses and individual counseling. She
is known for her warm and empathetic manner.
With a background in nursing, any signs
of stress, depression or other psychological problems are
noted and discussed, and referrals made to the appropriate
resources to ensure that clients get the help that they need.
Clients have been from all levels (clerical
to oil workers to managers) in all types of industry including
oil and gas, insurance, banks, small manufacturing firms,
non profits, and health care workers to name a few.
Judy obtained her RN, BScN, and Masters
Degree in Educational Administration in Edmonton. She has
held positions as a staff nurse, an educator and in management
in several hospitals. She was responsible for the implementation
of TQM at a large academic medical centre, where she was Director
of Education and Quality Improvement.
In 1993 Judy formed her own consulting
firm, and since then, she has done extensive, multi-faceted
consulting in the areas of governance and board planning retreats,
strategic planning, organizational and community health assessment,
project management, staff development and training, meeting
facilitation and conference planning. Her clients have included
all levels of management in health care, government and business.
