Rick Mastel
President

With more than thirty-eight years of experience in the field of human resource management and consulting, Rick leads all aspects of Mastel Associates’ business in Calgary. He is the President of the company and is a seasoned human resources professional who has experience in all areas of career management and professional search services.

Since the 1970’s, Rick has helped companies of all sizes in most industry sectors to manage their human resource requirements effectively. His background includes senior human resource management positions with various companies. He also has varied consulting experience that includes starting and growing two large consulting businesses, being the Managing Principal for Western Canada for one of the largest publicly-traded career management firms in the world, as well as being a founding Partner in an international search firm.

He has experience consulting to regional, national, and international clients in the oil and gas, high technology, banking and financial industries as well as mining and manufacturing. Rick’s professional recruiting experience includes both domestic and international assignments, from geoscientists and gold mining engineers to Board of Directors and Presidents. He has recruited professionals at all levels in most all disciplines and for clients around the world.

Rick holds a General Arts Degree. He is the Past Chairman, Board of Directors, Calgary Downtown Association. Rick has been a member of the Human Resources Association of Calgary for the past thirty years and is an active member of the Association of Career Professionals International and the Canadian Society for Training and Development.
