Every Internal Career Planning project
is as unique as the individual and organization involved. A general
framework for the process encompasses:
Establishing Objectives and Expectations
> We work with both the organization and the individual to determine
objectives and expectations of the career planning assignment. With
those parameters set, we develop a customized approach that addresses
and responds to the requirements of the organization and the needs
of the individual.
Comprehensive Assessment
> An effective career development program is based on the premise
that individuals need clear information on the competencies and
behaviours necessary for effective performance in today’s
world of work.
> Through a series of self-assessment
and psychometric testing exercises, each individual works with his
or her coach to explore skills, interests, values and motivations,
and to map out a realistic and rewarding career plan.
Planning, Exploration and
Coaching
> The Career Planning model is a comprehensive, tailored, one-on-one
coaching process, which guides individuals through all the steps
necessary to achieve the ultimate goal of setting a clear and achievable
career direction. We’re advocates of "practical idealism"
- the choice of a satisfying career path that takes our Career Planning
clients where their talents can be used most effectively. Each individual
also needs to understand the type of organization in which he or
she will be most successful.
> Working with a personal career coach, the client identifies
strategies to help him or her focus on both short and long-term
goals
Reporting and Support Services
> Each individual is provided with in-depth reports and analyses
of his or her assessment results. Our Career Planning clients also
have access to office space and administrative support when working
on Mastel Associates’ premises. |
